Privacy Policy

Overview

DetentionGuard Pro (“we”, “the app”) is a detention-time tracking tool for commercial motor vehicle drivers. This policy describes what information the app handles and how it is used.

We do not sell your personal information.

Information you provide

The app stores driver and session data primarily on your device (browser local storage for the web app). You choose what to enter, including:

• Driver name, ID, hourly rate, grace period, and email addresses
• Carrier / payroll email used for detention reports
• Digital signature and optional BOL photos
• Detention session times, notes, and optional GPS at check-in/out
• Optional promo or referral codes you enter

Information synced to our servers

If you complete setup with a valid email, optional cloud backup may store your driver profile so you can restore settings on a new device. Subscription status, referral attribution, campaign analytics, and limited usage telemetry may also be sent to Firebase (Google Cloud) to operate billing, referrals, and app reliability.

Payments

Pro subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. Stripe handles payment data according to its own privacy policy.

Location data

GPS is optional and only collected when you enable it in Settings and use check-in/check-out during a session. Location may be included in reports you choose to email.

Third-party services

We use service providers that process data on our behalf, including Google Firebase (hosting, functions, Firestore) and Stripe (payments). They are bound by their own terms and privacy policies.

Your choices

You can use core timer features without subscribing. You control whether to enable GPS, what to put in reports, and whether to send email. Clearing browser or site data on your device removes locally stored settings and sessions.

Children

The app is intended for adult commercial drivers and is not directed at children under 13.

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date below will change. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
